We normally make dal with different vegetables . Meat is used to make curries  and fries etc. But mixing this meat and dal is a different idea and i promise  you that this is very delicious and spicy too.  lets see how to prepare this mutton dal with minimum and simple ingredients available ..

Ingredients :

Meat – 250 gms

Cooked tuar dal – 200 gms

Onion – 1

Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp

Curry leaves – 1 tsp

Turmeric – 1/2tsp

Red chillie powder – 2 tsp

Salt -  as required

Tamarind pulp – 1/2 cup

Garam masala – 1/2 tsp

Oil – 3 tbsp

Heat oil in a pan and fry the sliced onions till soft and translucent. Add ginger garlic paste, curry leaves and turmeric. Fry a little . Add cleaned meat along with red chillie powder and salt  as required.  Mix well and cook till all the water evaporates. Add two cups of water and cook till the meat is tender. Add tamarind pulp and cook for two minutes more. Now add the cooked  tuar dal,mix well and cook for five minutes more. Add garam masala and serve with coriander leaves.. This goes well with rice and rotis.. along with pacchipulusu..

    sorry i missed the sentence.. now corrected the recipe. The dal is already cooked and now its again cooked with the meat and spices.So it becomes like paste or gravy.
