Being in Hyderabad from birth. I have many muslim friends and neighbours. We share our delicacies during festivals and family parties. So i too get a share in Sheer Khorma and Qurbani ka ghost from my muslim neighbours and I send my sweets and snacks for Dasara, Ugadi and Sankranthi. Is so lovely to share .. Here i made a hot spicy curry with the Qurbani ka ghost , i got for bakrid this year..

mutton pepper fry

Ingredients :

Lamb meat – 250 gms

Onions – 2

Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp

Red chillie powder – 1 tsp

Black pepper powder – 1/2  tsp

Coconut powder – 2 tbsp

Garam Masala powder – 1/4 tsp

Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp

Salt – 1/2 tsp

Curry leaves – 2 sprigs

Oil – 3 tbsp

Heat oil in a pan and add finely chopped onions. Saute them till they are soft and translucent. Add curry leaves, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste and red chilliepowder. Saute for two minutes more and add washed meat along with salt and mix well. Cover with lid and cook till the water evaporates and meat gets fried in oil. Add  1/2 cup water and cover it to cook. When the meat is completely cooked add coconut powder and pepper powder , mix well  and cook for five minutes more. When the curry is completely done, the oil floats on top. Add garam masala and remove from fire to serve.. This curry is a good combination with rice and chapatis and that too in chilly weather..
