Chilly evening always makes us think of having hot snacks and tea to beat the cold .  I wanted to prepare an easy and quick snack Mysore Bajji or Mysore Bonda  today .. I donno why this is called Mysore Bajji. :)   Lets get into kitchen and try out this..

Ingredients :

Maida – 2 cups

Curd – 3/4 cup

Cumin seeds – 1 tsp

Cooking soda – pinch

Salt – as required

Green chillies – 6

Curry leaves – 2 sprigs

Ginger – 1 ” piece

Fresh coconut – 2 ” piece

Oil – to fry

Take maida in a bowl. Add finely chopped green chillies, ginger, curry leaves, coconut, cumin seeds, cooking soda , curd , salt as required and mix well. According to the consistency add little water. The batter should not be too thick or too thin.  Leave it to ferment for half an hour.  Heat oil in a  karahi or wok.  Mix the batter again and drop spoonful or with hands . size depends on ur choice. of course it doesn’t make any difference..:)  Fry on medium heat till it is golden brown on all sides. Serve hot with coconut or groundnut chutney or mango pickle. Quick and hot snacks are ready to go with tea .. enjoy..
